1/4 cup grapeseed oil
2 tbsp minced ginger
2 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp soy sauce
(here is a wheat-free alternative to soy sauce if you need it: boom!)

Preheat grill. Meanwhile, chop eggplant into several 1/2 inch pieces. Cut an X mark on one side of each eggplant piece. Using hands- rub grapeseed oil inside every nook and cranny of the eggplant without breaking- be gentle. Rub minced ginger and chili powder all over eggplant pieces focusing on X marks and grill for 3 minutes on each side.
Place eggplants on grill so that every piece has a chance of getting a nice char. After eggplants have grilled thoroughly for 3 minutes on each side- drizzle with sesame oil and soy sauce and serve immediately.
